A Christmas morning bike ride might not be for everyone, but for Linda it changed her life. On a bridge signifying the beginning of their lives together as husband and wife, Christopher proposed.
Linda, a University of Houston alumnae, and Christopher, an architect, chose to be married at the A.D. Bruce Religion Center on the University of Houston campus right as the sun was setting. The couple selected their own music and wrote their own vows. Due to her father’s passing prior to the wedding, Linda was escorted down the aisle by her two nephews. She wore a stunning Balari style dress from the Pronovias of Barcelona collection. However her favorite accessory was her father’s wedding ring.
The couple gave out personalized cupcakes to each wedding guest and also had a three-tier butter crème cake with a special layer of carrot cake in honor of Linda's late father who loved carrot cake. Linda and Christopher honeymooned for eight days in Europe visiting Munich, Vienna, and Prague.
Bride's Advice
“I would highly recommend that the bride give specific instructions to their ushers on who to seat and where. Also, I would recommend creating a timeline of the wedding ceremony and reception so the wedding coordinator can keep things on time. Please give the photographer a shot list so that specific photos will be taken. We also did our receiving line after the ceremony so that when we arrived at the reception, we were able to relax and enjoy the night.”
