Ashley & JP

Ashley Zalta & JP Morgan

Ashley and JP met back in 2012 when she was a coordinator for a museum and he was a catering manager for one of their exclusive caterers. At that time they were seeing other people, but they grew to know each other over the years during the long nights of events together. This lead them to start dating in 2014 and they got engaged in 2017.

The couple wanted a space that they could design to create their own unique wedding day with a connected outdoor space, so they had it at the Asia Society in Houston. Here they had a half Jewish, half catholic wedding ceremony, which allowed them to create the perfect combinations of culture to pave their own pathway.

The couple wanted to be involved in making this special day their own, so they created some of the décor so it was exactly what they wanted. They built their own ceremony backdrop was a 10 ft by 8ft wooden structure filled with diamonds and 800 flowers they placed themselves. They also build four chandeliers and hung them in the space.

The cake is a gorgeous four tier white chocolate raspberry and chocolate Nutella cake from Mrs. Weber Bakes

Ashley picked a gorgeous mermaid dress from Eddy K Couture at La Reve Bridal.

Ashley's advice for future brides: "Opinions around you can sometimes be very helpful, but don’t forget this is your wedding so make your own choices down to every flavor, and design. Make choices that are going to create a tradition for your new family.”
