Bonnie Marie Furlough & Travis Lowell Linthicum
Fine Wine |
College sweethearts, Bonnie and Travis met through mutual friends six years before Travis decided to pop the question. While Bonnie was getting ready for their dinner date, she found an unexpected surprise waiting in the bathroom. A new bottle of the wine they shared the first time they met and a couple of glasses. As she turned around, Travis was waiting on one knee for her answer. After a romantic dinner, the newly engaged couple spent the night celebrating with friends in Houston’s Midtown. They tied the knot close to home at Agave Real in Katy, TX.
“It’s like a destination wedding with no travel,” Bonnie recalls. “The majority of our friends and family enjoyed our special day with us.”Bonnie walked down the aisle in an Ivory/blush fit and flare gown with a illusion neckline, a corded lace bodice and point d’esprit skirt by Christos from Now and Forever Bridal’s Spring 2015 collection. They had a three-tier ivory cake covered with rosettes and beaded dots from Edible Designs by Jessie and honeymooned in South Beach Miami, FL, sipping champagne on Ocean Drive as they watched the New Year’s Eve fireworks.
Bride's Advice
Bonnie feels she was given the best advice, “The night will fly by and be over before you know it so really take a moment to take everything in, enjoy yourself and be with the people you love.” Another tip is to hire a planner or at the least a coordinator for the day of the wedding. This will allow your mother and other family members to truly enjoy the day and not worry if things are going as planned. Even if you think it will run smoothly, those who care about you worry. Let them enjoy the day.
