Cristen & Rick

Cristen Alyea and Rick Galvan

Cristen Alyea and Rick Galvan celebrated their wedding on October 22, 2022, marking a special day in their journey of love. Cristen worked as a billing clerk while Rick pursued a career as an ironworker.

Their story began back in middle school when they met in 7th-grade science class. They started dating during their freshman year of high school and, after 13 years together, they decided to take the next step and get married.

The proposal took an unexpected turn due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, Rick had planned to propose in front of their entire family on Thanksgiving. However, circumstances changed, and they ended up having a small and intimate proposal with only their close family present. Despite the altered plans, Cristen was still shocked and overwhelmed with joy.

The wedding took place at Hidden Pines Lake Houston, a venue that Cristen selected based on trust and vision. Although the venue was still under construction when she visited, she fell in love with the concept and trusted in the outcome, embracing the beauty of the unknown.

Cristen found her perfect gown at Fiancee Bridal Boutique in Spring, TX, adding an extra touch of elegance and style to her bridal look.

For their wedding cake, they turned to Rosie's Mini Delights, an Instagram-based bakery known for creating delicious and visually appealing treats.

The couple's honeymoon took them to The Summit at Big Bend in Terlingua, Texas. It provided them with a serene and romantic setting to relax and enjoy each other's company after the whirlwind of wedding preparations.
