Jim Crane Weds Whitney Wheeler at Floridian National Golf Resort
Over Memorial Day weekend, close friends and family celebrated the wedding of Jim Crane and Whitney Wheeler. The wedding took place at Jim Crane’s Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida, one of the nation’s premier golf destinations.
The highlight of the three-day celebration was Saturday’s sunset wedding ceremony with a backdrop of the marina, where guests joined the bride and groom in all-white attire. Mrs. Crane was given away by her father, Dr. Robert Kreb, and the couple was joined by their young son, James Robert Crane II.
Executive Chef Michael Parker curated a beautiful menu combining both contemporary and traditional cuisine, including individual wedding cakes for guests as a special dessert. The wedding reception featured performances by multi-platinum country music legend Clay Walker, a friend of Mr. and Mrs. Crane, as well as several unique, custom décor elements including large floral swans, crystal butterfly accents and beautifully curated centerpieces. A central feature of the wedding reception was the custom-built dance floor, which was designed with blue hydrangea, white roses, blue delphinium, gardenia and orchids which surrounded the couple’s married monogram beneath an under-lit, acrylic surface. Jim’s eldest son, Jared Crane, offered a congratulatory toast to the happy couple prior to the first dance.
Guests at the weekend’s wedding celebration included Houston Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow and wife Gina, NBA Hall of Famer and Houston Rockets legend Clyde Drexler and wife Tonya, Monterey County Superior Court Judge Pamela Butler and several others from across the globe.
Whitney Crane wore a custom-designed wedding gown by Carolina Herrera, featuring white floral appliques and lace. The wedding rings were designed by Harry Winston. All events were designed in collaboration with award-winning designer, wedding planner, speaker and best-selling author Preston Bailey.
